Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 03:43PM Wedding days are often crazy for everyone--flowers, photographer(s), catering, venues. But my advice to brides is to have fun. Meghan and Wayne's wedding was perfect. They both had so much fun from the time they arrived to the time they drove off in a recently saran wrapped car. Good job!

Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 02:32PM These two families are great family friends. (And between them, they know everyone in the world, so I probably don't even have to share their names with you because you already know them!) They were great sports. I dragged them out into the 29-degree weather to shoot. Boy, was it cold! So I could feel their pain, I only wore a light jacket to empathize.
The best part of this shoot is how much fun they had, and how much fun they always have!

I have a confession...I'm a scrooge. It's true. Nothing sends me into scrooge mode faster than hearing Celine Dion's "Feliz Navidad" in a retail store BEFORE Thanksgiving. This means that six weeks out of every year, we're hearing Christmas music. That's more that one day out of every ten this year, you will hear Christmas music. This, to me, is offensive. No, not religiously offensive. But musically offensive, yes! We should create a two laws to remedy this predicament. 1. Christmas music may only be played after Thanksgiving. 2. No new Christmas songs may be recorded. Miley Cyrus or Black-Eyed Peas or Snoop Dog does not need to re-record "White Christmas". PERIOD!
December 26th marks one of my favorite days--the day when I will not hear another Christmas song until late October.
Happy Christmas, everyone!

Friday, December 4, 2009 at 12:57PM Today, last year, we flew out of DFW to Cancun to shoot our first destination wedding. We shot on Saturday and had some time to chill after the wedding. It was an absolutely amazing trip and we fully intend to return to the resort soon. (Childless ;))
